Continued Learning

I am currently preparing to re-enroll in school.  This is something I have debated for quite some time.  It's not that I do not favor continued learning, but more that I struggle in finding a major worthy of committing (not only years), but possibly my life too.  There has never been a single prospect so appealing that I have found contentment in the possibility of spending my life's work in such a field.  It's a big decision and one that has eluded me for quite some time.

With fall semester not too far away I am expected to commit to a reevaluation of my abilities in the form of numerous tests.  That was yesterday and with every test score it became more and more apparent as to what information I continually use since my college departure.  I excelled in writing, favorable in reading, and horrid in math!  It's funny how they make it seem as though all of these elements of education are automatically vital in the ability to perform the skill you seek.

Hmmm... not seeing the need for math so much, as I work in my field everyday!   Now ask me what a dress on clearance, with an additional 35% off, would cost me and I am all over that!  Or if you were to ask me how to convert a cupcake recipe from cups to ounces, you've got it!  This is what I use... this is what I know and I am surviving just fine!  Luckily my math scores do not seem to be as much of a concern seeing as the majority of my general education is already complete.

Only a few more hoops to jump through before I can actually start registering for the classes I actually want to take.  I am excited and nervous all rolled into jumbled ball of emotions.  Here's to hoping I am not too rusty in my knowledge of PC's.  Unfortunately, they don't have a bring your own Mac ability for my course.

  1. What a cute dress! You look adorable! And that necklace, CUTE!
I think that it's great that you are going back. It might be hard but if you willing to do it, it will be worth it. I am currently trying to figure out what I want to do with my education. I have so many things I want to do but I am not sure what I am the best at.

    1. It use to be the scariest question in the world to me, "what do you want to be when you grow up", but now that it isn't, I know it's the right choice. Hoping you have that moment too Cody. xo

  2. Congratulations on returning to school. That is a huge step and a huge life changing moment. It took me years to return to study Veterinary Nursing, but I'm so glad I waited because I just wasn't mentally ready before.
Love the pictures too. You look like you are in a movie. Great lighting and a great outfit.

  5. Normally I do not comment any posts but this one... I needed.

Congrats for going back to school, knowledge is never enough :)
Do not be affraid of making the wrong or right choice. You can always change. I changed after 2 years in biochemistry - I realized wasn't happy at all and changed. Graduated in Design (Industrial Design) and work full-time job as designer. Its never too late. And what you learn during the process is huge and makes you stronger.

Maybe you are having second thoughts because you are seeing only one possible choice in your life. Like you have to work in one particular area and thats its. No... just follow your heart it always tell you what its better :)
    Kisses
