Christmas Tree Re-use Candle Holders

We like to keep our Christmas Tree up until the New Year.  Everything about having a tree within the house is so comforting.  The warm scent and the dim lights are hard to let go once the holiday has gone.  Like I stated when we got a real tree this year, I wanted to find as many ways as possible to re-use our tree and not let it go to waste.  After creating our memento ornament I couldn't help imagining other ways to repurpose our tree.  These little gems are so easy and provide a little more of that holiday smell through out the winter months.

What You'll Need:

Branches From Your Tree
Garden Shears
Hot Glue Gun
Glass Votive Candle Holder
Lace (optional)

Directions:

Cut branches from your tree at the trunk
Remove all smaller twigs and needles from main branch
Cut your branches into smaller lengths by holding to votive holder and cutting to desired length
Apply a line of hot glue attaching branch vertically
Continue around the glass until surface is covered.
You can then add some decorative details such as lace if you so desire

There is no better feeling than knowing you made good use of your tree's existence!
