Mistletoe Kissing Ball DIY

If you followed my advice and went mistletoe collecting then it is time to put it to use.  I used some of mine to create a Mistletoe Kissing Ball to hang in our entry.

What you will need:

Hot Glue Gun
Garden Wire
Pinecones (optional)
White Paint (optional)

Take your ornament and begin gluing mistletoe around the top attaching near the hook anchor
Allow to dry
You may add pinecones by using the garden wire to hook the pinecone then twisting the wire around the ornament's hook anchor
You may also add white paint, as I did, to the pinecone tips for a more wintery appearance
Use your ribbon to create a bow around your hook anchor
Attach your hook for hanging
or, if your ornament did not come with a hook, you can create your own using the garden wire

Hang it up and let the kisses commence!

  1. Absolutely beautiful! Living in Southern California, we don't mistletoe the way we did when we lived back east! We found a fake ball, but this is such a great idea! I'll have to remember it when we move to a better mistletoe area!

    1. Up in our corner of California we have an overabundance of the stuff! I'll just have to mail you some next year! haha
