The day we were wed was exactly six years from the day we made our first vows to one another. We wanted our ceremony to be intimate and personal without the big show that can follow "larger" weddings. The ceremony attendees consisted of only thirty of our closest family and friends. We wrote our own vows and were married by the same officiant that married us in a mock bridal show about five years prior. Looking back I am still very happy with our decision of passing on the "party" element of weddings in exchange for a simpler soiree. There was no nerves, no anxiety, just us with all of those we love surrounding us.
It's so hard to believe that it has already been almost four years since this day and ten years since our first vows!

Aw! Jessa you look beautiful! And your dress is beautiful and everything is just beautiful!!! Sigh. I love weddings!!
ReplyDeleteThank you AyeJay! xoxo
DeleteJessa you are completely beautiful. This is exactly the kind of wedding I want. :)
ReplyDeleteAwe you two look so perfect together and so happy! You're so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the frosty autumn garlands you chose for the decor. =) Happy (almost) anniversary!!
you look lovely and I adore that last shot. He looks so happy :)
ReplyDeleteThe love is emanating. <3
ReplyDeletep.s. I'm confused about the whole 'first vows' bit.
Oh! haha I guess that is a little confusing! Sorry Tabi... we became a couple on the same day we were wed six years prior. So our first vow was to be exclusive to only each other. Six years later we put that vow on paper. =D
DeleteJessa, you were a GORGEOUS bride! You looked so incredibly happy - doing a second time! :) I can't wait for Mikey and I to get married again one day. Our first wedding was sooo small and pretty stress free. This next time, I wanna have more than 5 guests and a few bridesmaids and all that jazz. However, I do like that y'all did it small the second go around. I can only imagine how much stress it adds wondering about what all the wedding party is doing as far as getting their tuxes or dresses, etc.
ReplyDeleteAnywho, I was curious as to how old y'all are. I figured you were no older than I am and if you did get married ten years ago then I thought maybe y'all got married at like 18 years old.
May y'all have many, many more happy years! xo
I'd love to see you in a fabulous wedding dress Roni! We were actually married on the same day we became a couple six years later. So Friday we will be celebrating ten years together but only four married. =D
DeleteOh these images just made me feel so happy for you. Absolutely stunning, the both of you!

Thanks Claire! It had to be one of the happiest days of our lives... no matter how cliche that sounds! haha
DeleteWes and I both agreed on the fact that you look absolutely beautiful! That first pic is super cool.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Jessa looked absolutely stunning. The wedding gown is chic and elegant.
ReplyDeleteI remember my collections of wedding photos. I particularly liked affordable bridesmaid dresses and knee-length wedding dresses.
Thank you for sharing. I like the photos!
