The shoes are brand new and fresh out of the box. They seemed to fit like a dream until I realized the ankle strap opinions did not provide a hole small enough for my ankles. After a couple ankle rolls I contemplated some new footwear.
Strike One
The weather has been unseasonably warm which made perfect sense for selecting this light weight frock. What didn't make such sense is that there was also a lot of wind for such a warm day. Wind + Lightweight Fabric = Strike Two
Last issue is actually part of the reason I am even sharing these photos with you... my new hair!
It is Beyond the Zone in Huckleberry and it is one of the most striking blues I've seen. Although I love it, it is fresh so I tend to avoid wearing a lot of white prior to the first shampoo. I wasn't too concerned by the bit of white on the jacket until the forecast informed us that Fresno (where the wedding was taking place) was estimated to reach heights upward of 115 degrees. Disgustingly hot weather + Newly Dyed Hair = Sweating my Blue off! No need to risk staining a perfectly good crop jacket in the name of fashion right?

So there you have it. The outfit I just had to change. Oh well, for another day I guess. On a brighter note I will be making a Craigslist ad for the group of peeping tom raccoons terrorizing my front porch nightly. Free to a good home... you haul! haha Just follow the little clawed paw prints to inquire.
Love & Lollies...

I love your new shoes and your lovely blue hair! I am happy that you didn't ruin that cute jacket! When my hair was purple I sweated purple all over one of my favorite blouses! It was horrible, I'm glad you didn't make the same mistake! I love that dress too!
ReplyDeleteXo,
Eeka
Oh no! I learned that lesson the hard way too. Sorry to hear about your favorite blouse! xo
DeleteHoly moly! I am in love with this outfit!! Especially those ballet flatforms! Such a shame that it didn't work out on you wearing it to the wedding, but an outfit like this will constantly beg to be taken out again I'm sure. You look absolutely stunning in these photos, Jessa!
ReplyDeleteLoving the hair, obvs. :)
Thanks Roni! Christopher Robin is going to punch new holes in so that I can start wearing them! xo
DeleteThose shoes are like the definition of perfection! I'm obsessed with that color right now! :)
ReplyDeleteAgreed! It's like a deep sea foam I think? Whatever the actually name I am obsessed too! xo
DeleteOh that is do disappointing. We put so much thought into what we are going to wear, plan it out to the last detail and then changing everything at the last minute always feels wrong. But at least you had the foresight to change into something for suitable then be a blue mess with hurting feet.
ReplyDeleteRight?! It ended up being so hot down there that I would have been just that... a hot blue mess! haha
DeleteAbsolutely stunning! This outfit is my fav so far!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute look. I really love those shoes!

Oh Jessa, your hair is so, so, SO pretty!! I just got mine done too and blue is one of the colors... it's so much fun, isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I absolutely adore your outfit. So sad that it didn't work out - isn't that the worst? Especially when you did actually plan ahead. That dress is so pretty.
I totally agree with you Jessa! It’s all in the details! That’s why I’m also thinking of having a new hair for my wedding in catering suffolk!
