A day with Clover...

Wednesday I had an appointment, back down in the valley, for a post oral surgery check up.  (Note:  I am healing well and all is fine with my wisdom tooth extraction recovery!)  I decided that since my appointment wouldn't be until late afternoon why not try to make a girl's day out of it?  Clover (my Irish green eyed bestie Stephie) and I collaborated to spend the day together while partaking in the city wide treat of 50% off all clothing at all the thrifts.  I am not sure as to why they all do this, or if they really all did come to some sort of unspoken agreement that these sort of "special sales" would all proceed on Wednesdays, but regardless we ADORE Wednesdays in Fresno!

After a little goofing around in the courtyard...

it was time to put on our sunnies... (oversized of course)

and head on out to purge the shops of all their treasures.  With my recent self indulgent haul during ModCloth's Last Hurrah Sale, I found my wallet to be a little lighter than I would prefer when heading into a thrift day.  If you thrift, you know of the dreaded "buyer's remorse" syndrome.  For thrifters this is not the same... instead of regretting your purchases, we find there is always an item or two you regret not getting!  With my barren wallet in tow this was the worse case to date!  So many little lovelies that did not make it home with me this Wednesday.

How sweet was that puppy painting?!  ::sigh::  Such an abundance of treasures to not be had.  I am happy to say that my measly budget ($6 haha) still managed to allow me to take home a vintage dress, vintage hat, a darling corduroy jacket, and a new berry picking basket!  Yay!  Clover scored the most massive haul of... ready for this?... 8 dresses, 4 or 5 shirts, 3 cardigans, 2 pairs of pants, and 1 skirt all without breaking $100!  Needless to say, Clover cleaned house this week!  haha  After getting our shopping fix we headed on back to enjoy some afternoon shade and some mushroom picking before my appointment.

What a wonderful way to end a Wednesday!  Thanks Clover for being my photog for the day and congrats on your major haul for your new career!

  3. It was! I wish it were closer! Maybe, if it's meant to be, that little puppy will still be there waiting for me next time. xo

  4. Right?! I am sort of regretting even taking a photo of the little darling as I can't help but pout out my bottom lip every time I see it! haha

  7. 50% off thrift clothing is just not fair! I have no idea when the sales are at my local thrift, but I NEVER seem to come in on some bargain days. Everything's just...normal thrift prices, which, in Jersey is more than I've ever seen. I like thrifting in Texas. :)
I honestly can't even stop pouting when I look at that vintage typewriter. I am SO sad you didn't get it! Or the puppy picture! :( I know how hard it hurts the heart when you can't buy certain things at thrift stores because it's not like normal stores - you may never ever everrrr see these items again! *shivers* It's so scary!
Anywhooo, I just have to say that you are a darling doll. You always looks so sweet and put together.
    P.s. What's your tattoo say?
