Last week, while browsing the web-space for some fresh nail inspiration, I stumbled across the nail gradation effect. It seemed to be a popular pick so I thought I would test my hand at it.

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in Lovely Lilac
L.A. Colors Nail Lacquer Purple Shimmer
After reviewing many recommendations for great tutorials I followed this step by step picture tutorial provided by
The Nailasaurus. I was actually quite pleased at the ease of this design and tutorial. For my first attempt, I chose to pair colors that were only a few shades away from one another in the purple family. I figured this way it wouldn't be terribly noticeable if nail gradating turned out not to be my forte. The darker of the two hues has a shimmery base which lead to a lovely frosted effect on the tips. I am happy to say my first go at it was a success and I am already buzzing with fresh ideas for some different spins on it.

Very pretty nails. I love the fresh color. Would be perfect for when I'm out and about, but not too bright for when I'm at work. Excellent!

ReplyDeleteNice tips. It is actually incomprehensible opinion now, but also from general, that usefulness in addition to significance is usually overwhelming. Thanks once again and all the best.
