A Month in Instagrams... July

As we enter into August I feel as though I am experiencing a bit of time lapse conflict.   Time just seems to be flying by faster and faster than ever.  I have mixed feelings about this... In a sense, I am so grateful that summer season will be coming to a close before we know it, but at the same time I feel torn about letting the warmer weather go.  Christopher Robin 's favorite seasons are summer and winter.  He loves everything extreme, even his favorite sports are extreme.  I feel so conflicted!  Personally, I am sick of these 100+ temperatures and wish I could just wear a cardigan again, but at the same time Christopher Robin has had few opportunities to tackle the wake this year.  It's bittersweet... this time lapse...  Hopefully, due to this soaring heat, we will have a relatively warm fall.  Typically, I prefer to proceed with most of our lake bound activities at this point of the year.  Bass Lake is our common destination and the same goes for hundreds of others all over California.  I think even some of the Real Housewives were there not too long ago?  haha  That would have been a site to see!  We try to stay away during these busier times.  There is nothing worse than a drunk tourist, driving a 30 foot rental pontoon boat, while pulling a bushel of kids on a giant banana!  ::shiver::  That's the stuff nightmares are made of!  So, needless to say, we wait for everyone to head back home for back to school preparations before venturing out onto smoother waters.  Let's just hope this fall will be warm enough for Christopher Robin to play but cool enough for me to stay sane!  Good bye July and hello August!

  6. Wow googled Bass Lake and it looks really awesome! Would love to go there one day. I feel you on the summer/winter thing. This summer is going by way too fast for me, but I can't wait to go back to school and experience my colder weather back there. :)
