Sweet Peek of the Week - Spider Bunny Interview & Giveaway

This week we are getting to know another Jessa!  Jessa is the owner of a darling bath and body shop called Spider Bunny.

With names like Bubblegum Utopia, decorated with unicorns, and scented by bubblegum these products are sure to delight!  Let's get to asking Jessa our Fast Five...

Jessa, can you tell us a little more about you and Spider Bunny?

"My name is Jessa and I’m 25 years old. SpiderBunny is basically my baby, my child, my true love, all of that and more. I originally created a picture of Spiderbunny five years ago in my boyfriend’s sketchbook. I wasn’t much of an artist and I was really bored, so I just did a simple doodle of a bunny head on spider legs. I was flipping through pages of his work when we were going through it one day years later and I found the drawing of Spiderbunny and I thought to myself - “Can I do this better?” I picked up a pencil, drew the image, lined it with ink, and suddenly a bath and body line came flooding into my brain! Within 6 months I had tons of drawings done and Spiderbunny was ready to be born! Now it’s an ever expanding collection of candy scented goodness!"

What an amazing story of inspiration!  What continues to inspire you?

"The biggest inspiration I’ve had has come from staring at Spiderbunny for ages and trying to figure out the perfect companions. A lot of the time, the drawing is created before the products, and each individual character helps to inspire products and ideas."

I love that each scent has it's own character created by you.  But what a challenge!  Have there been any obstacles in the creation of Spider Bunny?

"There are always obstacles when running an Etsy shop- time, money, doubling my work hours." 

So true!  How are you overcoming this?

"It’s really all about knowing that you will overcome them and pushing through."

Hard work and dedication are a must!  What advice would you give to someone trying to make their business dreams come true?

"My advice is a little cliché, but it is the truth. DON’T GIVE UP! The only way to truly fail on Etsy or anywhere is to stop trying, so my best advice is to at least work a little bit on your dream every day. Baby steps towards your goal."
