I wish I were an Indian Princess...

When I was a girl my favorite of all the Disney princesses was Pocahontas.  I want to be her... I wanted to be one with the forest, to understand it's song.  To speak to the animals and to have them understand me in turn.  I wanted to live a life that was free and unconfined.  To be wild and untamed... I wanted a little friend raccoon to share my adventures with...

Although I never did become an Indian Princess like in my dreams, I do feel I have the life I had hoped for.  To run barefoot through the fields, to echo the song of the dove, to explore this vast wilderness we sit upon without question!  Best of all?  I have my little adventure buddy to share in all the wonders!

Love & Lollies...

  3. Thank you Ladies!

Isabel - Thank you... one of my struggles has been being willing to go bare legged. I was teased all my life about my pale skin and even as an adult I am still taunted at times. That simple compliment means so much to me! xo

  4. I knew it would! :) I had my own issues with my legs and it's not because of paleness. I think your skin is gorgeous and I don't understand how people could have an issue with such lovely skin!

Show off those lovely legs! Who cares about other people, right? ;)

  11. I've always wanted to have a photo shoot outdoors, and perhaps in a field of flowers. I think that would just be so wonderful. =)

  14. I love your dress! I think my favourite disney princess was either Ariel (because of her cool hair), or Belle (because she seemed quite humble). But admittedly I don't think I've ever watched Pocahontas so she might be a strong contender. Your dog is so cute, and it's lovely that they can share in on your adventures :) xx

  16. Ahhh I love your photos in this post :) they set the scene and show off your outfit really well :) do you use a tripod or do you have a willing assistant lol

  17. Jenni - I use a tripod and a wireless remote. A lot of gals use the "continuous" mode but I do not work well with it. I like the remote best and for roughly $10 it's a great investment! xo

  18. Oh, Jessa, this post was just so sweet and nostalgic. It's so funny to remember the Disney princesses we wish we were when we were kids. I always wanted to be Ariel. Go figure, since in recent years I wish I had been born a redhead. :)
But the dress and the fields and trees and your pooch are just too cute and it really is as though you are a grown up Pocahontas. :)

  21. I love Pocahontas! She's strong both in body and spirit, and her hair is really nice. lol. I love the photo where you're with the lavenders. I dunno if it's really lavenders 'cause they don't grow here in the Philippines, nevertheless, you did look like a bohemian princess. Cool. :)
    Btw, I followed you!
