Guest Post For A Gypsy's Journal: DIY Lace Shorts

Just incase you missed it here is the guest DIY I did for A Gypsy's Journal!

There is nothing that makes me happier than helping people and today I am going to help you all keep a lot of extra cash in your pocket while still obtaining one of the most popular trends.

Lace Shorts!

With the coming of spring I have been seeing lace shorts everywhere!  Including this darling pair above with a retail sticker of $143!!!!!

Not happening ... so what is a girl to do?  Make her own!  Today I am going to show you how I made my own lace shorts for less than $5!  Let's get started!

1.  What you'll need...

♥ A pair of shorts (got these at JCP for $2)
♥ A piece of cutter vintage or lace (this is a vintage half slip that has issues that I got for $1)
♥ Scissors
♥ A needle
♥ Thread (preferably one that matches your lace)

2.  Time to get started...

Take your lacy piece and cut away your lace from the garment.  Try to be delicate as you will most likely be needing all the lace for this look.

3.  Attach the lace...

Take your needle and thread and start sewing.  I like to do this by hand so that I can hide the thread in the denser portions of the lace.  I also added a couple stitches in the middle of my flowers to make sure everything is nice and secure.

4.  Wear them!

Show them off!  Be proud of the money you saved and be happy!
