Sweet Peek of the Week - KK'sCupcakeCreations

This week I had the pleasure of getting to know Kate.  She is a wonderful gal with a brilliant idea for a shop.  Kate has taken a wardrobe necessity and turned it into must-have cuteness.
See what I mean?  This little sushi platter doubles as a wonderful baby shower gift filled with socks for the new babe.

Lucky for everyone she doesn't just create gifts for little feet.  She makes sock cupcake creations for everyone.
Time to share Kate's answers to our fast five with you...

So Kate, can you tell us a little more about KK's Cupcake Creations?

KKs Cupcake Creations was started only a short time ago. Organized and operated by my husband and I, we slowly began selling a few ideas online and have since expanded our creativity and productivity into shops and salons within our residing area. The name of our business comes lovably from my niece, who struggled to say my name (Kate), and who therefore shortened it to KK.

I think it's so great that your husband is involved and that you are so inspired by your family.  What else inspires you?

It cannot be said that anything deep or thought provoking inspires what I do. It is only in the simplicity and enjoyment of ingenuity that I excitedly aspire to grow into a profitable business.

Which can be a huge challenge... have you faced any obstacles already?

Being that KKs Cupcake Creations is still an infant business, external obstacles have yet to present themselves. Perhaps the only obstacles faced have been internal; concerns over my personal touch to designs or whether I can successfully create a new idea from within my imagination.

Starting a business can be very daunting.  How are you striving to overcome this?

Fortunately, any doubts I've faced along the way have been subsided by everyone's kind and enthusiastic interest in what I do. Their positive responses to my products leave me feeling renewed each time to continue what I've started.

What you're doing is wonderful and I love it too!   In one sentence, what advice would you give to someone designing their dreams?

Think big, start small and remain optimistic.

Thanks again Kate for giving me and everyone else the opportunity of getting to know you and your business a little better.   We love what you are doing!

Kate wanted to thank all of you for reading by giving us all a chance to win a pair of her christmas cupcake socks.  These are just perfect for stocking stuffers and warm toes!  See below to enter!

I will be gone the remainder of the weekend but promise to be back for Manic Mondays.

Love & Lollies!
